PS4 update loop – hangt in veilige modus

Het komt redelijk vaak voor dat de PS4 vast zit in een update loop. Vaak is dit een gevolg van een harde schijf controle welke niet goed kan worden afgerond en er wordt dan ook gevraagd om de laatste firmware vanaf een USB stick te gaan herinstalleren. In dat geval wordt de harde schijf geleegd en ook vaak lost dit het probleem niet op.

De mogelijke oorzaken hiervan zijn:

Een stroomuitval thuis
Iemand heeft de stekker uit het stopcontact gehaald, terwijl de PS4 nog niet uit stond
De PS4 is gevallen
Door een update van Sony zelf

Allereerst controleren wij de harde schijf om te kijken of wat de status is en daarna controleren wij sector voor sector de harddisk op bad sectors en delays (vertragingen). Wanneer het aantal bad sectors een veelvoud is van 8 en redelijk laag is (onder de 100), dan is dit vrijwel altijd een gevolg van een update van Sony zelf en kan dit hersteld worden op een eenvoudige manier.
Wanneer er zich heel veel bad sectors bevinden op de harddisk en/of veel delays, dan moet deze zo goed als zeker worden vervangen. Ook zijn wij in staat om de harddisk in tijdelijke goede staat te brengen, en zo de inhoud te kopieren naar een goede andere harde schijf van dezelfde grootte.

Herstellen huidige harddisk : 49 Euro
Vervangen 500GB harddisk en nieuw opleveren : 75 Euro
Vervangen 1TB harddisk en nieuw opleveren : 85 Euro
Vervangen 500GB harddisk, tijdelijk herstellen en alle data overzetten : 105 Euro
Vervangen 1TB harddisk, tijdelijk herstellen en alle data overzetten : 115 Euro

ProConsoles is the definition of excellent customer service. I live in Canada and I cherish my launch day PS3. It`s died many times and I finally decided to get it repaired properly. I contacted Ed at ProConsoles a few weeks ago to inquire about getting my ps3 repaired. I explained all the issues and coordinated shipping my ps3 from Canada to the Netherlands (roughly $100 CAD shipping). When UPS didn`t deliver it directly to his shop, but an UPS Access Point nearby, he did not hesitate to pick up my ps3 to bring it to his shop. Upon receiving it, I was instantly notified about his progress and discoveries. Within hours, my ps3 was back up and running and I was sent pictures and videos as the progress continued. Ed was finally finished and the PS3 was fully repaired, I arranged to have the PS3 shipped back from the Netherlands to Canada and I`ve been using it for the past couple days without any issues and even better performance. I recommend any day to have your ps3 or any other hardware repaired at ProConsoles if you can pay for HIGH quality service. I came here to get my overheated PS3 fixed, expecting to have to come back another day to pick it up. But instead, I was helped immediately. The console was completely taken apart, thoroughly cleaned, and provided with new cooling paste. The guy clearly had done it many times before, and knew what he was doing. My PS3 works great again. If you have a problem with your console, I definitely recommend contacting him.

This is the best service and best price you can find. Very friendly and professional. No surprises or hidden price tags at all. After a professional check, with all sorts of high tech tools, you get to hear what needs to be done to fix it and if you are OK with how much it will cost. I recommend you visit this repair center to fix your gaming console and not fiddle with the console yourself. The things you will need and time you will spend will cost more than what it will cost you here. They cleanup the console the proper way from inside dust (without asking), they use the best thermal paste for the heat sink and the best quality solder and flux for the reball. The console will get a new life counter. In my case they always had a solution to my PS3 problem and I was always helped to meet 100% satisfaction. I saw all types of gaming consoles there, so just call and ask if your console can be repaired.

I brought my PS3 to fix it after a failed self attempt of a reflow. My PS3 was going off by itself due to some bad contacts I assume. I caused more damage than really fixing it due to me not having the right tools and equipment. I recommend all people to bring it to this repair center and not try themselves. Even if you are lucky and it works with your own attempt it will most probably fail again soon. I was clearly explained why. The guy showed me exactly what I ruined and he showed me again after fixing it and I quickly could see what I ruined with my amateur tools. I was very nicely helped and was kept informed step by step what he was doing and with the finest details. He is a real professional and has all professional tools and equipment. The price was the best I could find and I even got a warranty on his work. In my case he did a reball for the RSX chip and a reflow to the CELL chip. See attached the solder points before and after the reflow.
